Episode #20 - All in the Family.

A little bit of Christmas in this Special Episode recorded in Cartersville, Georgia. Tim and the lovely Trudi get together with David, Josh, and Jenni to talk drama. We read cuttings from two plays, Humbug and What Child is This, both authored by Jenni. We talk about developing material, working with young people, and how to propose to a playwright.

In the cuttings, David is a caveman, Josh channels Jim Carrey, and Tim butchers the part of Scrooge.

WARNING - We were unable to take our sound board on the road, so there is a noticeable audio quality difference from our regular episodes. You might also hear the hard drive of our portable audio recording device powering down from time to time with some clicking and whirring.

There will be no show next week, but the whole gang will be back with a brand new episode - and a new chapter of Monkey on a Stick - the first week of December. See you then!

Episode #20 - All in the Family.

WARNING - there are some quality issues with this episode - yes, more than usual. Our tripod, Sam, was steady, but you will notice some wobble, especially as he gets tired. There are some audio issues - which you can read about on the audio edition post. Our camera was malfunctioning, making us go to a backup camera…and I can’t tell if it made quality worse or better. We were zoomed too far out and the lighting was inadequate. And somehow the audio and video got out-of-sync somewhere in the middle…which results in about 11 frames of black in the middle of the show to get it back in sync…or at least closer.

We’re off next week, but look for a brand new episode with the whole gang in the first week of December.

The Show is on hiatus for the next couple of weeks due to Thanksgiving and vacations. There will be no regular episode for either Nov. 19th or Nov. 26th. HOWEVER, Tim and the lovely Trudi have recorded a special on-the-road edition of the podcast that will be posted sometime this week.

Of course, what’s a podcast without some technical difficulties? Our regular camera broke and we’re trying to find a cable for the backup…but we hope to have the special episode to you…soon.

Between other rehearsals, the cast finds time for a Dramatic Moment with Mary-Jane; a letter from Texas; Tim and Trudi read Light; chapter 4 of the Monkey on a Stick, and some commercial moments. We take a couple of weeks off now…or not. Stay tuned.
